Yeah, you maybe could have read their mass chuckage of projects to Netflix/other studios last week that they were having a fire sale, but other than a handful of small projects that were sent to a VOD grave, Paramount had been holding tight on theatrical wide releases. SPONGEBOB was the last and only animated film of Summer scheduled and that's a pretty good spot to be in.
Ultimately you need something firm to cause a massive drop in stock price.
Does put pressure on Disney with Mulan though, moving to August may be the safer call at this point, and it's not too late for Regal and AMC to adjust their re-opening plans. It does screw Cinemark that is already well into re-opening plans, but even they could scale that back as long as a decision is made this week.
