Variety: Amazon is near a 100 million deal for HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA 4 notfabio Aug 16, 12:35

An ironic twist, considering MGM is releasing Addams Family 2 on October 1st. {nm} notfabio Aug 16, 12:40

Maybe Netflix didn't want to upset ASAND? {nm} notfabio Aug 16, 12:46

My brain isn't functioning properly today so I'm not so sure how those are related since ASAND isn't involved in HTRN4. {nm} Jay_Beezy Aug 16, 13:04

Presumption would be that Sony wasn't willing to pay his ask for the 4th film since they just hired a soundalike {nm} notfabio Aug 16, 13:27

Oh, okay. You're saying that's why Netflix would have presumably passed on the movie. {nm} Jay_Beezy Aug 16, 13:31

Yep, considering Sony has been exclusively selling to Netflix for Sony Pictures Animation projects until now. {nm} notfabio Aug 16, 13:33

DL: For what it's worth they are claiming the deal could still fall apart but it would just go to another streamer. notfabio Aug 16, 13:35

It looks like Staz currently has Hotel Transylvania rights to the previous films. {nm} notfabio Aug 16, 13:37

never thought MGM was going to blink against a fourth-quel {nm} cake boss! Aug 16, 12:54

Kind of weird that the timing works out that Amazon will be competing against its to be acquired studio (most likely) notfabio Aug 16, 13:04
