Because of Ferdia Walsh-Peelo (as a common factor)?
Loved both the movies myself btw though CoDA could/should have focussed a bit more on the 3 deaf/dumb members of the family.
I was watching Eternals yesterday & was just reflecting on the sudden surge of mainstream roles being given now to deaf/dumb actors (& how well they've done in each film). Drive My Car also had a powerful performance of a deaf/dumb role though Sonia Yuan can speak in real life as far as I know so not quite belonging in the same category. Any such others you know of from 2021?
Saw CODA also what a great find................ a non very John Carney movie {nm} Jan 17, 06:59
