The Lost Boys Remake

I'm a die-hard forever "Lost Boys" fan. The news of the remake made me feel shocked and like there is no way this could be better -ever in a million years!. Joel Schumacher made a almost perfect vampire film (only James Cameron can do perefection). I do have to say the new cast has me interested though...what if a retelling was done? Will I take a sip of the proverbial Kool Aid?...Maybe. Anyone else know anything more about this remake project of a great movie that did not need to be remade?
