I'm not just talking about the Academy. I'm talking about EVERYBODY.
The number of mostly white people calling for Will Smith's head or to have his Oscar removed... not to mention bringing up Mel Gibson and others in the Academy which is complete unrelated ... it's just another case of "cancel culture" where people have been given too much power to voice their opinion on something that has absolutely nothing to do with them. Rock and the Smiths should sit down in a room together with some Academy honchos to decide what should be done and no one else's opinion should matter. Will Smith can be suspended or pay a million dollar penance to the Academy Museum and we all need to move on... people saying "Well now I feel unsafe going to the Oscars"... **** THEM. Something like this happens during trying times after over 90 years of a ceremony with nothing like this going on... maybe they should also vet some of the humor to make sure their members aren't being disrespected for the sake of entertainment.
