We would have been looking at 25-50% of US theatres closing permanantly had WB just yeeted their 2021 slate to 2022. WW84, TOM AND JERRY and especially GODZILLA VS KONG kept theatres alive (especially as NY & CA re-opened in February and March) and built the case for rivals that they could leave their films in 2021 with theatrical releases.
