Isn't this essentially what the Cantor Index was trying to do but couldn't get backing from SEC? {nm}

in response to HorrorFund's post https://esx.io/
DL:HSX celeb Josh Stolberg writes and directs the first film to be listed on Ryan Kavanaugh's ESX platform Skill House for 2023 release.

From what I hazily remember ESX had actually looked into buying HSX in 2019, I can't seem to find a link to ESX that's live however.

I do hope HSX has found some kind of cash flow to keep going... lobogotti seems to have vanished.

Cantors didn't involve funding the films themselves from what I remember. It was basically HSX with real money.

wasn't the SEC that killed it. thank Blanche Lincoln grandstanding in an election year (that she lost anyway) for excluding movie futures

Yeah, it was congressional legislation that the MPAA backed (only Lionsgate was for it) that pushed Cantor to give up.

The main limiting factor for ESX, it's just their projects with the possibility others might partner with them down the line.
