There's not a lot of incentive to continue to plow money into more reworking/reshoots of which there was at least the ones to put Ben Affleck in to write-out Michael Keaton.

If they "give up" I'd expect a move of it to October or January/less competitive time frames. If they don't move DUNE Part 2 to October so it can get a long IMAX run, they may move it to December, but they already have The Color Purple remake and Wonka there (and Wonka from all accounts is great and may also get an awards push)
