It's not great, but studios do seem to be going that theatre count for most African American lead films (besides Creed 3) these days.
Will be interesting to see what Sony does with Big George (I'd be surprised if less than 2K) and Lionsgate with The Blackening (which is definitely going to be a one weekend Juneteenth wonder..or not even that)

Most films from Searchlight, Focus, Neon, A24 that are around 1500 screens are titles more focused on digtial & streaming than Apr 13, 13:30
Tar had awards buzz + major star & wide release & did <5m. Was short on this one ever since I saw Tar's BO. Apr 13, 13:41
