Movies

So: First the Regal by me (Anaheim Hills) closed in 2022; now this week our other local theater, Anaheim Hills Cinema City. Gone. Pffff.

These were our two local theaters for most of our adult lives. When the Regal closed last August or thereabouts, I thought that the Cinema City would last and keep going. We're pretty stunned by this news. Now we'll have to go a little further to go the movies; we were truly spoiled all these years, but wow. I can't believe it. 

My stepson worked there many years ago. Cameron had a fairly infamous test screening of Titanic there in the weeks leading up to the film's release. I've seen HUNDREDS of movies there. They had a pretty decent classic Wednesday night film series there; every other Wednesday night. Saw Gone With The Wind there just a couple months back. 

I reckon my final screening there was Guy Ritchie's The Covenant. Really good film; really ironic aftertaste now.
