Have to wait until later in the week for anything meaningful. I want to see the 2nd weekend numbers, that's what intrigues me.
I was just recently looking at the numbers for the first two Sex and the City movies. The first one didn't drop as badly as I'd remembered; the second one just sank like a damn stone. But will this movie's quadrants be similiar to those films?
Sex and the City:
Opening Weekend: 57 Million
Weekend Two: 21.2, down 62% or so.
The movie went on to gross 152 Million Domestic. 2.6-2.7 times the opening weekend
Sex and the City 2:
Opening Weekend: 31 for 3 days, 51 Million for 5 day (movie was opened Memorial Weekend)
Weekend Two: 12.4 Million.
The movie went on to gross 95M Domestic. Less than 2 times the opening 5 day.
