Trade restrictions hamper funds ability to generate wow profits. Back in the days...
there was a fund called BBUST that could trade in almost any film whose budget was like 60M+, so basically every major opener. It was run by an amazing trader and was extremely difficult to beat. Also, in the case of my fund, SPOOK, I am a CPA and my busy season meant I had relatively no time to play this game. I was able to bring the fund 50M in a matter of 2-3 months b4 that time period but it stayed relatively stagnent. Also, the horror genre is very seasonal with fall and winter typically its better times. I suggest you try and run a fund when you get some experience. They are a lot of fun. In the mean time, I hope SPOOK will cash out after this weekend.
