I think SOME Rey storyline continuation in some form gets made, maybe not with this director unless they start remaking the OG trilogy
In 10 years they'll pretty much be able to get AI to do whatever they want barring massive restrictions on its use being imposed.
I am not super positive that the currently attached director remains the director, especially if she rejects another script for it.
