Had Furiosa had the demand, I'm sure IMAX would have worked something out to hold some showtimes in some markets, because they are incredibly protective of their relationship with filmmakers that support them (and they LOVE George Miller) and often will bend over backwards for them even when they have some clunkers (e.g. Zack Snyder through things like Sucker Punch, Guardians of Ga'Hoole, etc... because of how 300 defined their brand for years)
