As long as the shooting script is done and turned in, the actual WGA writers for Deadpool and Wolverine like Rhett (who I know quite well and could ask), Paul, and Zeb Wells could go on strike, but as director/actor, Shawn Levy and Ryan Reynolds can make changes during production and post? Personally, I feel that D&W *feels* like a movie made during a writers' strike with a lot of stuff thrown against the wall to see what sticks. I'd be curious to know where the overall was between the writers' strike and other summer movies like Twisters, Inside Out 2, Quiet Place Day One, etc.

I think the issue here is that Ryan Reynolds is a WGA member, which means he can't work on the screenplay at all. (?) {nm} Aug 28, 05:23
