THR: Adam Aron is trying to re-negotiate theatrical windows back up to 45 days for AMC, studios so far are mostly blowing him off.

Allegedly they were the one exhibitor who was open to Netflix on NARN4 so not sure if that's still the case or not.

The Uni and WB deals should be up for re-negotiation soon, the 17 day windows being the most problematic. Even an upping to 30 days =help

They should compromise and go with 30 days. Few movies stay in theaters that long anyway.

45 days provides a buffer between theatrical and transactional otherwise it's still too easy to wait

I've never understood why the window needs to be so inflexible. Keep the movie in theaters a long as it's still making money

Moana 2 got 105 days because even leaving a crummy DTV-level sequel in theaters over xmas is just printing money
