A-...a few clunky elements, but easily the best film of its genre since The Matrix, and probably before...
but then...I was never a huge Matrix fan. In "Inception," after reading reviews about how pretentious the film's "philosophy" is, I was expecting "Matrix" like Baudrillard-lite. These ideas are woven into "Inception," but only to serve the story.
All in all, as is usually the case, the most hyperbolic reviews of the film in either direction clearly knew how they wanted to see this film ahead of time. Most of the more sensible reviews are spot on.
