I sure wish a studio would give Guillermo what the Trix gives him. And I sucked it up and gave them my 7 bucks tonight. That film; i can't imagine watching it on my IPhone. I guess many will.
An amazing film to look at. The performances I found to be engrossing. Elordi was very strong in this. And Mia Goth is everything here that Lilly Depp was NOT in the Eggers movie. Night and day. She is clearly someone to be reckoned with. I think both of them should be in the awards conversation. Isaac was also very good with a role that you've seen so many times it's difficult to make it memorable. He did that.
The movie looks amazing; but the damn CGI; sometimes I wish filmmakers would just learn how to live without it. It pulls you out multiple times; I found some of it to be downright cringeworthy. But overall, this is a fine, engrossing version of the classic story. The time just whizzed by, and our theater was mesmerized.
So yeah; I liked a Nettrix movie.
