Why is everyone thinking such a strong multiplier for inception 2nd weekend?

trying to find a movie that opened over 50mm and dropped by less then 40% the next, besides avatar (blizzard weakened the opening) i cant find one. A 40mm weekend for inception is roughly a 36.5% drop only, what am i missing?
