Seems like A24 did not pay for "positioning" at AMC. When I look at showings for Thursday at my local AMC. . .
. . .it's way down the list after (in order) Mario (30 showings!), Project Hail Mary, They Will Kill You, Ben-Hur (who similarly must have do something to be so high?), Hoppers, Reminders of Him, Forbidden Fruits, Dhurandhar, Ready or Not 2, Goat, The AI Doc, Stand By Me 40th, A Magnificent Life, Alpha, The King's Warden (Korean movie that has been rocking it for the last few weeks), Fantasy Life, BandMelam (Telugu movie), She Dances, A Great Awakening, The Drama (the 20th movie option), and then Marc by Sofia and two more Telugu movies. Normally an opening movie like this would be in the first few titles. There must be a pay-for-position deal somewhere? When I look at the smaller AMCs (with all domestic titles), I see it listed dead last.
This is single point analysis but most of the night showings of The Drama are sold out at my local theater Apr 01, 18:25

The only pay for positioning avail is four walling which a24 won't do on wide releases with a listers Apr 01, 22:43
