Its kinda weird. Why wasnt this at Cannes? Snyder's not in director's jail but all his Netflix movies and the JUSTICE LEAGUE redux did not
do well so i dont see folks falling over themselves to get this. And the IP would need some serious updating. And the sequel had some timely subtext but it bombed so i dont know if you revisit it. And then there's THE RUNNING MAN comp and that underperformed. AND this is seriously like the fifth or sixth director attached to reboot this. So maybe MGM? They have some home ent rights on the original (they sub it out a lot so they know the IP isnt dead) Maybe Paramount because if they merger goes through and they really do 30 films, this could work for that. If you can make it for less than $100m, then maybe A24? But its weird.
