Yes.. it's fading. BIG 'Startime' is shorter than in the old days. The new movie-audience changes faster every year...
So Tom Cruise, Mel Gibson.. and in my opinion even Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts, Pacino, De Niro, Costner will lose out to Patrick Dempsey, Orlando Bloom, Anniston and all... Though the starpower ( drawingpower )of Nicolas Cage keeps amazing me ... But on the other hand, when you look at this weeks' HOLIDAY WARRANTS, there are 3 starpowered - DUE, FOCKERS, TOURIST.. that makes a case for having a star in your movie ( 3 out of 10 ) especially when you know that the other 7 are Cartoons, children books and retro tries.
