An actress who has cornered the market on 19th century period films, Helena Bonham Carter has built a career out of the kind of movies that critics adore. Based on E.M. Forster adaptations alone, Bonham Carter has starred in such lauded films as 1986's A Room with a View, 1991's Where Angels Fear to Tread and 1992's Howards End. Her role in the 1997 Henry James adaptation, The Wings of the Dove, earned Bonham Carter an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress.
