Movies

According to movies board regulars (per our weekly movie poll), the 10 worst films of 2010 are... islander Dec 28, 18:22

Thanks for doing that! {nm} secretstalker Dec 28, 18:31

yeah, thanks! I really cant believe Shutter Island would make this list. {nm} Moviesnob Dec 28, 18:33

Yeah, I don't understand why anyone would give that movie something below a C {nm} tribefan695 Dec 28, 18:37

at a glance, the grades for it dont look bad, mostly b-, c+. its just that so many films got A+'s islander Dec 28, 18:40

crazy people, there are probably 5-10 films in the history of movies that get an A+ (imo)....and Citizen Kane ain't one of em! {nm} lobogotti Dec 28, 18:42

karate kid (2010) got an A+! {nm} islander Dec 28, 18:45

insane {nm} lobogotti Dec 28, 18:49

It made my TOp 15 for the year {nm} secretstalker Dec 28, 18:55

but i would venture to say that not one movie in your top 25 list this year is an A+ film, in your opinion? {nm} lobogotti Dec 28, 19:07

I'd say Social Network, 127 Hours and Inception are pretty damn close..... but no, I'd give them all high A's. {nm} secretstalker Dec 28, 19:09

ha! there's an article in Jan 11's Sight and Sound where David Thompson debates whether people should vote for it in the next best ever vote Moviesnob Dec 28, 18:54

Vertigo, The Godfather or 8 1/2 best it (imo) if we're looking at the 2002 list. {nm} lobogotti Dec 28, 19:02

Depends on how you evaluate it. IMO, grading Cop Out and Shutter Island on the same curve is ridiculous--obviously Shutter Island is more dsbman Dec 28, 18:46

Good points. with this 10, it is very action flick laden, most with lame scripts. with hits like inception, the town etc islander Dec 28, 19:13

Cool idea. {nm} shadowking Dec 28, 19:10

i will do top 10 down the road, but thought id wait until more people have seen the recent critical faves {nm} islander Dec 28, 19:14

Nice project and addition to the boards, great idea and a big thanks :) {nm} damenchipguy Dec 28, 19:17

thanks as well! {nm} tealfan Dec 28, 19:21

where can i vote islander? tia. {nm} lobogotti Dec 28, 19:23

this is based on the results of all polls we do (typically) on monday mornings. next monday, i'm sure we'll do another poll and i will add islander Dec 28, 19:28

oh and maybe i should add that i never included random grades or reviews posted on other days (would have been too islander Dec 28, 19:33

No Jonah Hex? {nm} tradermark Dec 29, 01:57

not enough votes, but the 2 it got (c and c-) would put it in the bottom 10 islander Dec 29, 05:03

Thank you! Your project has yielded some cool results. :) {nm} Jelly Dec 29, 03:20

So how many movies this year got an F-? :-P {nm} accountant_4_Jesus Dec 29, 05:21

10 "F"'s were given out islander Dec 29, 08:24

4 ouf of 10 start with "The" maybe thats a sign to stay away from a movie :) {nm} HS-X Dec 29, 16:25
