Be weary of a single point analysis.
It has been ahead of Paranormal 2 for the last few weeks now very consistently (12 of the last 14 days including Monday Scream has been ahead). Monday it was below it but it doubled it on Tuesday and looks set to do it again for Wednesday. I don't have a crystal ball and obviously I'm thinking way higher than many but there is no doubt that there is a ton more hype on Twitter for Scream which says a lot to me since Twitter and social media in general played a huge part in Paranormal's success.
