This sounds very much like there are health issues or even memory. I realize that MARYC has floated his name for years to get
financing, but if he is not well enough to go to "the Middle East" to play the role, it will probably be recast.
He would join SCONN, GHACK, PNEWM and CHEST as actors who announced that they were "hanging them up," and kept to their word.
At his age, who could blame him if he felt that he could not do a proper job that he bow out.
We will miss his excellent performances.
