Like you Lobo, I enjoy a good prank. I've done many small ones back in my hospitaltiy days. But I do have one big one (though different)...

Mine scored me a cool $2000 and the best part was that not a single person complained. And considering that an entire restaraunt was involved (100 people), that's pretty awesome.

It's way different than yours Lobo but also kind of dark in a similar fashion. For several years in the mid 00's I worked at a very popular joint down here in Fkorida on the beach called Bahama Breeze. Hospitality work so we were all crazy and always had cash to burn. I thought it was wastful for everybody to be burning their cash when I could do it for them so I created a "game". We called it "Breeze Survivor" and it was, not surprisingly similar to the tv show "Survivor".

Buy in was $20 per person and the prize was belive it or not, just the TITLE of Breeze Survivor. Over the course of 2 or 3 shifts I would collect the votes of all 100 players and then boot somebody "off the island". I did this until there were only 2 people left. I also put work in in that I would post about the person that got booted in a short story about how they were killed on the island (on the bullitin board, since those things used to exist). You can imagine how that went- The suprer strong barback would end up being found dead in the North end wearing nothing but a ball-gag, the vegitarian waitress was found half eaten by canibals (irony?) and so on.

In the end, I got to keep all that cash but the real prank was kind of brilliant (and totally expected). By giving all the people in this massive business a chance to vote against each other I created a type of chaos that I have never, before or after, seen. You had kitchen guys teaming together to vote as a block to take out bartenders that they didn't like, you had females teaming up to take out dishwashers that freaked them out, you had waiters and waitresses teaming up to take out other waitstaff just because they had a better section. I swear to God, the entire place amost went down inĀ  flames every night for close to 4 months.

At which point, the company reps came in and, upon reading the many "death stories" and hearing about the chaos, shut that skrizzet down when there were still 10 people left.

All 10 people considered themselves winners and not a single person ever asked about a prize.

And I went skiing.

let's lighten the mood, shall we? lobogotti Jun 12, 12:09

HA that's funny.. Must be a busy area to have so many cars passing so early in the morning. {nm} Dorfman Jun 12, 12:47

when pulling a prank like this, one car driving by is nerve-racking! {nm} lobogotti Jun 12, 13:15

Uh stocking 1000 plastic forks in someone's yard is a prank. Methinks you've crossed into criminal trespassing with a psychotic edge :P {nm} islander Jun 12, 12:57

LMFAO... yeah, it was a "mean" prank for sure. I've done worse. {nm} lobogotti Jun 12, 13:15

I'm waiting for the surprise ending where the prankee accuses you of doing it a 2nd time...but you were never there!...dun dun dun {nm} tealfan Jun 12, 13:09

LOL!!! now that would be too good. {nm} lobogotti Jun 12, 13:16

Good one. Nice Touch. *Watches all your Neighbours instantly Install Security Cameras.* {nm} RotoHockeyYTD2014 Jun 12, 13:12

I've been debating it for some time now, but mostly because of my neighbor. {nm} lobogotti Jun 12, 13:16

Sorry, that's not a prank - that's being a jerk. {nm} JDolphin Jun 12, 13:54

no need to apologize, many advised me against it. I might not do it again if I had it to do over, but I probably would (just differently) {nm} lobogotti Jun 12, 13:56

Excellent Prank - Nobody got Hurt - No Damage. It's not like you took the Biebster & 24 Dozen Eggs. {nm} RotoHockeyYTD2014 Jun 12, 14:03

but I could cause a heart attack or scar someone from it. the disdain that can come from it isn't worth it, but I'm an excellent friend lobogotti Jun 12, 19:37

My uncle might have inspired the Travelocity Gnome commericals... RazorHawk Jun 12, 14:47
