Where did I mention banning anything? :) All I was saying is that according to the NRA, this girl should have been gunned down by a
more responsible gun owner (had there been one present).
Call it satire, call it sarcasm, call it a logical extrapolation from (which we 100% agree on) what was a completely preventable incident that EVERYONE PRESENT should have known was a bad idea from the get-go.
The real tragedy here is that a 9-year old girl now has to carry this around with her for life because the adults in her life were too stupid for words.
If anything, it opens up a dialogue, not on the RIGHT to bear arms, but rather the common sense to bear them. What, if anything, is the threshold we as a society would like to have regarding responsible ownership and use of guns?
