the ratings are up so much over recent years because of the cubs being in it. there is more ratings and $ to be had if the cubs lose this year; they are good enough to get back next year, the ratings will be as good. if the cubs win this year, then next year regardless of who gets in, the ratings will fall back to the pathetic levels they were at before and thats not a headline mlb wants
