I think the implication is that are being led down semi-planned storylines so they don't need to interact with other guests and they are not as good as being in the wild west character, so it is obvious that they are guests.

It would be an interesting story line for them to go down though - would it be a viable defence to a crime committed (some kind of physical assault) that they thought it was an artificial life form.
