First they had closed and locked all but a couple of enterences. At each of the open entries there was security as well as an assessment team. The assessment team asked questions, took our temprature and valideted that we were actually expected in a clinic. There were also some security folks wandering the halls trying to look like they weren't patrolling. The awareness level and individual visual inspection of everyone else in the halls made it kindo of obvious that they were.
The hospital was nearly empty and very quiet compaired to every other time I've ever been there even at 3 AM. None of the activity I have grown to expect.
The other surprise was that in less than a week since our last visit they had installled a very large tent just outside the emergency room entry that appeared to be a triage center. Not a small tent this was big enough for the circus to come to town.
This is in Oklahoma City where until then we have only had 12 cases reported in the entire state. I'll admit that I found it concerning and confusing compaired to the information we are getting on the news.
