That's interesting; Net Trix has done everything in their power, to bring theatrical distribution of motion pictures DOWN.

I don't want "everything my way". For the better part of the last decade, Net Trix has spearheaded the effort to make the theatrical presentation of motion pictures a thing of the past.

What I will gladly settle for is to be able to continue to go to the movies and see movies the way they were intended to be watched. Go back and look at the entire 125 year history of motion picture exhibition. Look at it closely. And then tell me that Net Trix has the right idea. I would literally defy anybody to go back, look at the history of the way human beings have absorbed feature motion pictures, shorts, serials, and the like, and after looking at all that, tell me that sharing UserId's to sit around and watch movies on a couch is what should be focused on. And that the company that leads this part of the overall business works tirelessly to bring about the end of the way that's better.

Net Trix has done more than anyone else to bring about the end of going to the movies, of watching the art of the moving image. They've done absolutely everything in their power to dumb down the experience of watching films, it just goes on and on and on. It's literally endless.

And still, do i care if they didn't exist at all? No. It would've been nice though, if they'd actually respected film, appreciated the artistry of it, done ANYTHING to demonstrate that they give one rip at all as to the product they're shucking. What they've proven, and continue to prove week in, week out, is that they simply don't care what they're selling. It's product. That's it.

and that's a crying shame.

Better Call Saul is just incredible television. these last 2 episodes are a complete thrill ride in every way. Incredible artistry at work. goodvibe61 Jul 18, 22:24

It's got to have you tied up in knots that Netflix is the reason why this show exists {nm} Moviesnob Jul 19, 09:54

Could you expand on that please? (Am honestly ignorant of the connection.) {nm} DTravel Jul 19, 14:27

No one was watching BREAKING BAD on AMC until people found the show on Netflix and VOD {nm} Moviesnob Jul 19, 16:05

_I_ was watching it on AMC! :P If it was so obscure in first run, how did it get five seasons? {nm} DTravel Jul 19, 17:47

This was back when they were throwing big wads of money at pretty much everything? {nm} DTravel Jul 20, 13:52

They will always throw wads at money at everything. Their content budget is over $15b {nm} Moviesnob Jul 21, 13:18

Nah; that doesn't bother me at all. goodvibe61 Jul 20, 00:05

PS thanks for posting the article. One of the funniest things i've read all week; Net trix is the BEST way to watch BB. Binge it! LOL!!!! {nm} goodvibe61 Jul 20, 00:20

Dana Carvey had an interesting take on binging last night, while talking to Tarantino about his movies. It's starts at the 2:20 mark. goodvibe61 Jul 20, 00:32

wow {nm} Moviesnob Jul 20, 01:13

What's your take on Saul? I mean, outside of the basic "plot", what do you think the creators are trying to accomplish with it? goodvibe61 Jul 20, 11:51

I'm a distributor so i like and respect successful distributors. Im also grateful talented artists and storytellers can reach their audience Moviesnob Jul 21, 13:23

You boycott two of the best theaters in LA. Netflix doesnt do that. You are the defintion of the consumer that is destroying theatrical Moviesnob Jul 23, 00:23

NONSENSE. Consumers don't Destroy Theatrical, just like Consumers didn't Destroy Silent Films, the VHS, the Typewriter & the Horse & Buggy. {nm} Captain Obvious Jul 24, 17:00

Consumers also didn't Destroy the Outhouse. BTW, Boycotts happen ALL-THE-TIME to all sorts of things. The Odd One works. Most don't. Captain Obvious Jul 24, 17:05

That's just so stupid. Net Trix "boycotts" ALL theaters in Southern California, EXCEPT TWO. Net Trix HATES theaters. {nm} goodvibe61 Jul 27, 16:09
