Mortal Kombat 3 (MK3) Question for antibody....

Regarding the news that the web series may lead to a new movie...

If in fact that was true will that weird thing of this not been the same project applies here? Will that be "another mortal kombat and not this one".  X-men - magneto case and similar weird cases thing?

How will that work out, this onne a bust and a new ipo sometime in the future, etc...
