I'm going to post a trade or two here that I've made in the past. These stocks are delisted so it's not like I'm trying to sway the market. But the HSX trade amounts are wrong and I'm not sure why or if it's a bigger issue.
3/15 I shorted ROADI at $.03 for 100,000 shares. The Trade Amount comes up as -$5,000. That is wrong, no matter how the math works. It should either be -$3,000 or -$3,030 if we're including commission costs. Where does the $5k come from?
On 3/26 ROADI delisted at $.01 so I had a transaction go through at 100,000 shares delist at $.01 for a total transaction of $5,000. I can see where this $5,000 comes from as it's the original .03 a share and .02 extra for the drop in price.
However, I cannot determine the origin of the original transaction value for -$5,000 off what should have been a total outlay of $3,030.
This is not an unique thing. Just since March, I've had 71 trades that have had a consistent $.02 added to each share price in this regard for securities under $1.00.
Is it a new policy to add a two cent purchase surplus in penny stock trades?
