The exact timing of trades can have an effect on how much the stock price moves.  5 trades at 30 minute intervals may have more effect than 5 trades within 2 minutes.  Or maybe the other way around.

Players have guessed at other factors and its possible there is some randomness in the mix but HSX makes an effort to keep players from being able to figure out the formula for price changes.
