There are several inaccuries in your argument. But I agree that there seems to be a reluctance on players who want to manage one.

Trading volume is meaningless for funds.  It's like a mutual fund that is managed by a fund manager.  We make money based on their success in increasing the fund value.
MANY funds hit the 100M payout.  When I managed the AWARD Fund, I delisted 2x per year.
I don't 100% know why funds have fallen out of favour with the players who used to manage them, but I have a few guesses (and I think it is several factors).
