What the Hell Happened?
I keep reading complaints about changes to the site yet I've seen nothing about it. Only thing that caught my attention was consistent loss in my portfolio for days now. I'm shocked to see I've lost roughly 15% of what I had in about a week. What the hell is going on? If there were changes to how this all works, where is that posted? Clearly the changes aren't working with so many folks complaining (particularly those who have been around a while like me) that they keep losing money no matter what happens. Has HSX made any effort to address this?
By far, I'm horrible at this "game." For years now, I've merely purchased movie stocks based upon rumors I've looked up and followed. I'm not a day trader (not sure I even know how to do that), I'm not an aggressive type ... outside of derivatives, movie stocks, and star bonds, I have no idea what else one may do with their money here. It's just been a place to come to over the years and have a bit of fun from time to time.
Now I'm reading complaints that seem to indicate I need to be here every single day. And then there are projections or something released in the wee hours of the morning I'm expected to read and adhere to? I'm lost. I've never been good at this game (was at $122 million a couple weeks ago, my best in my 10 or so years here) but now I feel like I won't even make a profit if I don't spend hours on here wasting my day. Can anyone enlighten me or should I just bail on this? Not like it's a huge loss to me, but I would miss it as this has been around for me for a very long time.

the announcements do get lost in roll, so to speak. perhaps dmac could make a highlight or seperate section somewhere? {nm} Jan 09, 16:33
