The mystical drama Beasts of the Southern Wild tells the story of a six-year-old named Hushpuppy, who lives with her father in the Lousiana Bayou. When he falls sick during a flood, she sets on a journey to find her mother. Winner of the Grand Jury Prize at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival, the film is directed by Benh Zeitlin, who also co-scripted with Lucy Alibar.
