The biopic CBGB stars Alan Rickman as Hilly Kristal, the founder of the titled venue in New York City. Originally opened for county, bluegrass and blues music, the club switched to booking punk and rock & roll during the late 1970s. Ashley Greene will play his daughter Lisa. Rupert Grint and Justin Bartha will play The Dead Boys, while Malin Akerman will play Blondie singer Debbie Harry. Randall Miller directs with a screenplay by Jody Savin.
