Description

The controversial Brazilian film Tropa de Elite is about two honest police officers who are fed up with the corruption inside the standard police force. They decide to join an elite group that is supposed to be incorruptible, but find they must employ torture and other inhumane methods. Director Jose Padilha based the story on interviews of real life police officers. Padilha wrote the script with Braulio Mantovani.
