Ron Howard directs the live-action feature of Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Jim Carrey stars as the furry, green Grinch, who with a heart two sizes too small decides to ruin Christmas for the little burg of Whoville. With the story of the Grinch already ingrained in America's psyche, the film will be presented as a visual feast combining eye-popping special effects with the antics of Carrey.
Dr. Seuss' time-honored short story How the Grinch Stole Christmas! first underwent adaptation as a cartoon in 1966. Directed by Chuck Jones, with narration by the legendary Boris Karloff, the holiday classic rivals It's a Wonderful Life as a sentimental favorite.
