As a former child actor turned director, Ron Howard has been working in Hollywood for his entire life. In 1984, Howard directed his break-through film Splash. With successful follow-ups such as 1985's Cocoon and 1989's Parenthood, Howard demonstrated his ability to direct in a wide range of genres. Howard won the Academy Award for Best Director with A Beautiful Mind. He followed up with The DaVinci Code and Frost/Nixon.
