The comedy-drama Humboldt County centers on a college kid who gets a lesson in friendship. Jeremy Strong plays a med student named Peter who is stranded in an alternative community of marijuana farmers on California’s North Coast. At first he is aghast at their lifestyle but soon takes to their eclectic personalities. Peter Bogdanovich appears as his professor father while Fairuza Balk is a singer who captures his interest. The film is written and directed by Darren Grodsky and Danny Jacobs.
