Description

Hunger is a historical drama about the IRA. Michael Fassbender plays Bobby Sands, a real life IRA volunteer who led a hunger strike in 1981 against British authorities. Sands was imprisoned on gun charges and protested the brutal treatments of the prisoners. Writer-director Steve McQueen makes his debut.
