Jonathan Rhys Meyers was born in Dublin, Ireland and raised in Cork. Not the most dedicated student he was expelled from school at age 16. His film debut was a small role in A Man of No Importance. Since then Meyers has been working almost non-stop with Michael Collins, Telling Lies in America, Velvet Goldmine, Ride with the Devil, The Loss of Sexual Innocence and Titus. Meyers claims that he doesn't love acting but does it because it keeps him from off the streets and out of jail.
