Description

Vinnie Jones and Jason Statham star in the comedy Mean Machine, a British remake of the 1974 film The Longest Yard. Jones plays Danny Meehan, a soccer star who is sent to jail for his bad behavior. Once in the slammer, he ends up training the prison team for a match against the despised prison guards. The film is directed by Barry Skolnick and written by Charlie Fletcher, Chris Baker, and Andrew Day. Guy Ritchie had an executive producing role. Paramount Classics handles U. S. distribution.
