'Joe' is a 20-foot ape from the great plains of Africa. Fleeing from poachers, 'Joe' and a young woman who grew up with him most of her life escape to Los Angeles. There they become the talk of the town. But things soon get hectic when Joe gets loose in downtown L.A. The problem now is not finding Joe, but stopping him-and no one, not even the young woman, may be able to do it! This project is a remake of the 1949 classic.
