Description

Directed by Matt Leutwyler, The River Why centers on a boy, played Zach Gilford, who is on a quest to catch the elusive rainbow trout. His journey is actually a search for his own personal meaning. Amber Heard stars as his love interest, while William Hurt plays his father. The coming-of-age story is adapted from the novel by David James Duncan.
