The Weekend, a film based on the novel by Peter Cameron, is a story filled with lush, drama and vivid storytelling. The film is directed by Brian Skeet and involves a young couple and their friends who come together to commemorate the death anniversary of a loved one.
Deborah Kara Unger and Jared Harris play Marian and John Kerr, a couple who must entertain their friend Lyle, played by David Conrad. Lyle who was the lover of John's late brother Tony, played by DB Sweeney, arrives with his new boyfriend and complications arise between the three friends. Gena Rowlands and Brooke Shields also make up the cast. The Weekend is set to open in New York and Los Angeles in October of 2000.
