With word of mouth still spreading over its controversial ending, Gone Girl [GONEG] stayed in first place with an estimated $26.8 million. The thriller slipped just 29% to advance its 10-day total to $78.3 million.
Dracula Untold [DRCYZ] opened in second place with $23.5 million. The action fantasy brought out an audience that was 57% male and 61% over the age of 25.
Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day [ATHNG] nabbed $19.1 million to debut at the third spot. Families made up 67% of the audience.
Annabelle [ANABL] stumbled 56% in its second weekend to $16.4 million. The horror spin-off has earned $62.2 million.
The Judge [JUDGE] took fifth with a $13.3 million opening. The drama skewed to an older crowd with 85 % over the age of 25.
Addicted [ADCTD] debuted seventh overall at $7.6 million. The thriller connected with its target audience which was 72% female and 72% African-Americans.
